On the creative side, I am a designer and artist. I mostly work with fabrics, sewing, and dying. I am tie dye obsessed (if you haven't noticed!) Now that I have my feet beneath me and feel more confident in my hospice position, I have started reaching for that sewing machine. So keep your eyes peeled for some fresh pieces in the Shoppe.

The Glory of thredUP

The Glory of thredUP

I recycle, I frequent thrift stores and second hand shops. Quite frankly, I would rather reuse something than to buy it new, plus, it's cheaper. I've been doing this my whole life. So when I found myself searching through thredUP, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and selection of clothes at my finger tips!

I've been on the hunt for a new pair of jeans ever since having Adler. I've gone up a size, and have one pair of jeans I've been wearing on repeat for two months. As I flip through Pinterest I am constantly drawn to the 70's inspired fashion. Bells & high waists are on my radar. I love me some good flares and bell bottoms rock my socks off. I searched "bell bottom jeans size 6" on the thredUP app. The heavens opened, cue the harps, so many glorious options! Jeans from all sorts of  name brands (brands that I typically can only afford to window shop). The prices were amazing.

Once I found jeans I couldn't live without I searched "Free People tops." I zoned in on this glorious deep V bohemian sweater. Perfect for nursing in. Mine.

I ended up purchasing a pair of Hudson Jeans for$33.49 & the Free People pullover sweater for $29.99. These items would sell new for $295, without including shipping. Each item had a description of the garments condition, both of my items were "Practically New." The cost? A total of $63.48! That's a $231.52 savings. Say what!?

Processed with MOLDIVI received the items a few days later, with the cutest packaging, I might add. I tore it open with the quickness and threw on the sweater and jeans.

The jeans fit perfectly, like butta baby. They appear to never have been worn! Holy hell, why haven't I done this sooner!

The sweater, is magical. In prestine condition, perfect for nursing my babe, and one of my favorite brands, Free People. I think I'll be buried in that sweater... That's how obsessed I am.

Needless to say, thredUP has changed my life. I can go and purchase clothing for my husband, my two sons & myself all while saving a sickening amount of money.

Have you been eyeing a particular style of jean? Do you thrift? Where is your favorite place to purchase preloved items!?

Peace & Love my friends!
