35 whoppin' weeks! Phew! Can't believe we've made it this far! Today was yet another awesome NST with a busy baby and minimal contractions, an US and appointment with my Midwife. I'm happy to report that baby has grown to a grand ole weight of 4 lbs and 13 oz! This puts baby in the 15th percentile, which makes me want to light fireworks!
While I was in getting my scan, I had a heart to heart with the technician. I told her about my appointment with the OBGYN a few weeks ago and how disappointed I was after speaking with him. I told her about his thoughts on my placenta and his term "opinion" he used in describing the size and shape of it. Oddly enough after we spoke about him, he knocked to come in and grab something from the room. I allowed him to enter and as he was getting ready to exit again the technician asked him to please take a look at the ultrasound.
My appointment after with my Midwife went well. I told her I was feeling like baby was not going to wait till January to make their entrance, that I feel like things are going to happen much sooner than that. She agreed with me, said could not see me going another 6 weeks, that with the complaints I've had of headaches, my random bought of severe vomiting I had last week, the feeling that baby has dropped (which she verified, dropped but not engaged) along with a few other things I told her, all give her the idea that baby will be coming soon. She told me in fact that if next week baby decides to make their entrance they would not try to slow the process.
So here I am, anxiously awaiting the arrival of this beautiful soul, who I feel wants to make their entrance much sooner than January 6th. I did not feel this sensation when I was pregnant with Graeme. So bouncing on my birthing ball, long walks and washing all the baby clothes has begun.
Now if only we could decide on some names!
Peace & Love,
